Chris Francis Landscapes focuses on professionalism, quality work, and attention to detail. Phones are answered 24/7 by a live person; so call anytime. We provide a long list of services to suit your needs.

We only want to do work we can be proud of. We do not cut corners, therefore we do not cut costs. Some people look for the cheapest contractor, and ultimately regret the quality of service. If you want the job done right by a professional, expect to pay for it. Many businesses claim things they do not have in order to sell jobs. Always check backgrounds and experience, as well as documentation. Before hiring anyone, check to actually see that the company is certified, licensed, bonded, insured, and has worker's compensation. Chris Francis Landscapes is committed to excellence in everything we do. Expect professional, knowledgeable, uniformed, and intelligent representatives from the company.

Have peace of mind knowing you have some of the best in the business working for you. Many people call themselves: "Experts, Arborists, Landscapers, Designers, Specialists, Contractors, and more." We actually prove it with various licenses, certifications, and training. All employees are background checked, reference checked, trained, and constantly educated on the latest safety, research, and practices. Education and advancement is encouraged.

Chris Francis is an ISA Certified Arborist (#SO-6157A) and is Alabama State Licensed in: Tree Surgery, Landscape Design, Setting of Landscape Plants, and Ornamental & Turf Pest Control Supervisor.  John Renfroe (staff landscape designer) is also an ISA Certified Arborist (#SO-6580A).  All of these certifications and licenses require education, experience, and examination; some require continuing education credits to maintain. The importance of licensing and certification cannot be stressed enough. Chris Francis has also received certificates from classes such as: Irrigation, Pond Construction, and Landscape Lighting. “Professionals” need to be able to provide proof of their professionalism.

Chris Francis and staff members are also involved in many organizations, including: International Society of Arboriculture (#179909 & #199576), Southern Chapter ISA, Alabama Urban Forestry Association, Baldwin County Home Builders Association, Business Networking International, Irrigation Association of Alabama, and Alabama Nursery & Landscape Association.

Chris Francis Landscapes is certified, licensed, bonded, insured, and carries workers compensation. These five things should be required of any contractor before work begins. Remember, there are no sign police; so, just because someone says they are or it is written on their truck or business card, that is not proof. Get it in writing! Honest companies will not hesitate to provide certificates for you.

Most of our work takes place in Baldwin and Mobile Counties of Alabama. We enjoy working in: Daphne, Fairhope, Montrose, Spanish Fort, Point Clear, Mobile, Saraland, Orange Beach, Gulf Shores, Belforest, Loxley, Foley, Magnolia Springs, and unincorporated areas.

Having one company perform all of your horticultural and arboricultural operations makes complete sense. Having several different companies can prove to be disastrous. For example, your irrigation “technician” cuts most of the root system from the desirable trees during installation; your landscaping “professional” cuts some irrigation lines, then adds soil over the tree trunks and roots; your lawn care “specialist” hits roots and trunks of trees with mowers and “weed-eaters”, and sprays some wonderful chemicals everywhere; then your “tree expert”, who decided to make a quick buck because he got laid off from the factory, spikes up your tree (which is now suffering pretty severely) to “top” it, damaging the irrigation system, lawn, plants, and even other trees. Hopefully no one gets hurt… because workers compensation is too expensive for most of these guys. As funny as it may seem, this is actually what happens on a regular basis with “reputable” companies. Even if everything is done right, you still have to get those companies to communicate with each other, which rarely occurs. Much of what one division of this company does has direct impact on the others. We are constantly communicating with one another and working toward the same goals, rather than several companies working against each other. This saves you money, eliminates your headache, and is much better for your property, environment, and plants.
